The works under this contract are expected to be completed within 10 weeks of the contract award date.

Payment shall be singular, lump sum, in line with submitted offer. Progress payments may be accommodated, if submitted alongside a progress schedule up to the date of invoicing.

Quotations will be shortlisted based on: completeness of response, local content, past performance, whether the quotation response presents an acceptable level of risk to the principal, and price. The principal reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to shortlist any number of quotation responses, including one or more, all or none of the quotation responses. The principal is not obliged to shortlist the lowest priced quotation responses.

Although it is not mandatory, it is recommended that contractors attend the designated site inspection to fully comprehend the scope of work.

The bid notice states enders must be lodged by no later than 2. 00 pm on tuesday 10 march 2026.

The council will pay the amount of each invoice within 30 days of its receipt or 30 days after completion of the service whichever is the later except where council notifies the contractor of a dispute in accordance with clause 24 of this agreement.

The contractor warrants on both labour and materials supplied under this contract that where within 12 months of the completion of the service, any defect arises other than from reasonable fair wear and tear in relation to the output of any service performed by the contractor, the contractor shall promptly upon receipt of written notice thereof from the council, at its own cost rectify the defect or reexecute or make good any service not properly performed.

The principle that underlies the awarding of all council contracts is that, following consideration and evaluation of all tenders, the contract will be awarded on the basis of the best value for money, the most benefit to the community and the greatest advantage to council.

Tenders will only be accepted from persons or organisations with whom or which it is capable of entering a contract.

The contract manager may apply the penalties specified herein until such time as the contractor satisfies the contract manager that the services will be resumed in conformity with the applicable performance targets.
