Energy Market Tenders

The contract for the supply of natural gas is expected to commence on 01 January 2027.

Tenders will be evaluated based on value for money, meeting requirements, capacity to provide services, assessed risk, and quoted prices and pricing terms.

Tenderers must be legal entities recognised under Australian law, not bankrupt or insolvent, not subject to specific judicial decisions, not listed as a noncompliant employer under the Workplace Gender Equality Act ****, and hold a gas retailer's authorisation or licence.

Tenders may be considered invalid due to alterations, erasures, illegibility, ambiguity, or incomplete details. Tenders received after the closing time will be considered late and only accepted in limited circumstances.

Respondents are required to provide organisation details including company name and contact details, and a capability statement outlining core services, expertise, size, and operating model. Responses will be evaluated based on the best value for money outcome for the customer, considering selection criteria such as knowledge of the AER's role, qualifications and experience, ability to critically analyse information, provide independent consumer-centric advice, and provide robust challenge. he customer will evaluate all valid responses received by the atm closing time item a. a. 1 that meet the minimum content and format requirements and the conditions for participation if any, to determine which potential supplier has proposed the best value for money outcome for the customer.
