Wagga Wagga City Council is seeking tenders for a consolidated facilities waste collection contract. The contract includes the provision of bins, collection, transport, disposal, and management of various waste streams from council facilities. The contract term is two years with an option to extend for two additional 12-month periods. Tenders must be submitted electronically via Unimarket Vendorpanel by July 15, 2026. The evaluation criteria include price, past performance, methodology, capacity, capability, and regional preference. Disposal locations include Gregadoo Waste Management Centre for certain waste types and a nominated material recycling facility for comingled recycling. The contractor must comply with work health and safety legislation and may be required to undergo online induction.
The tender submission deadline is July 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
Council will make payment 30 days from the date of the invoice, following successful completion of requirements. Invoices should be detailed and forwarded to accountspayable@wagga. nsw. gov. au.
Tenders will be evaluated on price, past performance, methodology and program, capacity, capability, and regional preference.
Tenderers must demonstrate financial capacity to perform the contract. They must also comply with all federal and state legislation and regulations relating to work health and safety, and have appropriate policies and procedures in place.
If the contractor fails to rectify a breach of health and safety, or if performance involves recurring breaches, the principal may terminate the contract. During suspension, no payment will be made.
Supplier queries regarding the tender must be submitted via Unimarket Vendorpanel and will cease 7 calendar days prior to the tender close.
Tenders may be excluded if they are late, incomplete, corrupted, or potentially contain viruses. Canvassing council employees or councillors may also lead to omission from consideration.
