Tenderers shall allow for a twelve 12 month defects liability period dlp for each property from the date of practical completion. During the defects liability period, the contractor shall rectify any defects or workmanship issues identified by the principal within a reasonable timeframe and at no additional cost to the principal.

The council is seeking a qualified and experienced building contractor. The contractor and all subcontractors shall hold all relevant Queensland licences and competencies required for the works, including an appropriate QBCC licence where applicable. The successful principal contractor and subcontractors will need to complete a prequalification using the online induction system called LinkSafe.

The principal may require presentations from tenderers, conduct interviews with tenderers staff and subcontractors, contact a tenderers referees, investigate a tenderers structure and management, make its own assessment of the tenderers ability to comply with the terms and conditions of the contract at the tendered price, and verify that the tenderer holds all necessary permits, licences, approvals and certifications necessary to enable it lawfully to comply with the term and conditions of the contract.
