Cook Shire Council

Council will enter into an arrangement to undertake the Open Space and Waste Maintenance for a period of twelve ( 12) months with an option to extend for a further period of twelve ( 12) months. Services are to be provided in both Laura and Fairview and will include but not be limited to Waste Management, Facilities Management and Open Spaces Management as further detailed in the attached.

Open space and waste maintenance in Laura Waste management services, facilities management services, open spaces services. Waste management services will primarily focus on customer service and site maintenance at the Laura waste transfer station, working closely with the waste management coordinator. Gatekeeping duties, collection of fees, waste data record, waste disposal activities, recycling, litter control, and notification of servicing requirements. Vegetation control: slashing, perimeter fence maintenance, poison control, site inspections, and notification of irregularities. Minor repair and maintenance duties. Facilities management services will primarily focus on council- owned public facilities in Laura and Fairview, including cleaning, litter collection, supply of necessary products, minor repairs. Open spaces services will primarily focus on all parks and open space facilities in Laura and will include but not be limited to, collection of litter, mowing, lawn/garden maintenance, and minor repairs
