Closing time for tenders is 2 PM Hobart time on July 31, 2025. Tenders must be lodged using the Tasmanian government's tender website or by placing them in a tender box. A tender validity period of three months commences on the next business day after the closing time. The successful tenderer will be required to enter into a contract with the principal. The contract will include general conditions of contract, contract information table, specification, and any other documents agreed upon. A Tasmanian Industry Participation Plan (TIP) may be required if the tender amount exceeds a certain threshold. The principal reserves the right to negotiate with tenderers during the procurement process. Enquirers should refer to Part B of the RFT information table. Additional documents required include background information, contract information table, specification, information for tenderers, tender form, conditions for participation and evaluation criteria, response schedule, and economic and social benefits statement. Evaluation criteria are detailed in Attachment 6. A minimum of 25 oral fluid roadside screening equipment consumables are required for tender assessment. The contract is a standing offer arrangement for an initial term of five years with an option to extend for a further three years, subject to funding approvals and satisfactory performance. The contract sum for goods ordered by the principal is to be ascertained from the standing offer price list. The prices stated in the standing offer price list do not include GST. The acceptance period for goods is 30 days, and the warranty period is 12 months from the date of acceptance by the principal. Unsuccessful tenderers are encouraged to request a debriefing.
