Tender for the upgrade of LED lighting at Gisborne South Tennis Courts. The contractor must provide all labour, materials, and services for the complete installation of a new LED sports lighting system. Key activities include site establishment, demolition of existing infrastructure, electrical works, installation of new poles and floodlights, lighting controls, site reinstatement, and handover. A mandatory pre-tender site inspection is scheduled for July 29, 2026. Tenders close on August 18, 2026. The contract will be awarded based on best value for money.
Practical completion of all works is expected by March 2026.
Council shall pay for successfully completed contract works within 30 days from receipt of an invoice, submitted at the end of each calendar month.
A defects liability period of 12 months from practical completion is specified, during which the contractor shall repair or replace defects within 14 days of notification.
Tenders will be evaluated based on price (35%), relevant experience (25%), methodology (15%), compliance with specification (15%), environmental benefit (5%), and social benefit (5%). The contract will be awarded on the basis of the best value for money.
Tenderers must be suitably qualified and experienced contractors. They must demonstrate their ability to complete the contract, provide details of their business, experience, qualifications, and resources, including subcontractors.
If the contractor fails to reach practical completion by the specified date, liquidated damages will apply at the rate stated in the annexure for each day after the practical completion date.
A mandatory pre-tender site inspection will be held on Wednesday, 29th July 2026, at 10:00 am at South Gisborne Tennis Courts, 176 Millett Road, South Gisborne. Attendance must be registered via Vendorpanel.
Enquiries must be submitted by no later than exactly one week prior to the closing time date. Questions or enquiries will not be accepted after this time.
Any tenderer who directly or indirectly seeks to obtain an advantage by canvassing support from a councillor or member of council's staff, or a member of the evaluation panel, will be disqualified.
