Far North Queensland Ports Corporation Limited (Ports North) is seeking tenders for marine pilot transfer services for the Ports of Cairns and Mourilyan. The contract will be for seven years with an option to extend for three years, commencing on or around February 18, 2027. Services include providing a pilot vessel, crewing, maintenance, certification, insurance, and operational activities for safe pilot transfers. The service must be available 24/7. Tenders close on August 3, 2026, at 5:00 PM AEST. Clarification requests must be submitted by July 23, 2026. All tenders must be submitted via the Queensland Procurement Solution Vendor Panel.

Tenders will be evaluated based on value for money, capability, capacity, experience, resources, operational plan, methodology, innovation, safety, sustainability, and social impact. suppliers demonstration of its capability, capacity and experience at successfully delivering works or services of a similar nature.
Tenderers must be suitably qualified and experienced organisations. Crew must hold specific certifications including Coxswain or Master less than 24 metres near coastal, marine first aid, and AMSA-approved pilot ladder and pilot transfer training. all crew operating pilot vessels under this contract must hold the following minimum qualifications.
