Warranty, service and parts support is one of the tender assessment criteria.

All tendered prices are to be GST inclusive. Tenders for all new vehicles and plant shall comply with all statutory and Australian standard requirements of both the Commonwealth and NSW governments. Careful completion of council's tender form is essential. All relevant information sought in the suppliers data section must be included.

Tenders for non-conforming vehicles or plant may be lodged but shall be accompanied by a conforming tender and reason for nonconformance with the tender specifications.

Tenders will be evaluated by reference to: value for money, open and effective competition, the development of competitive local business and industry, environmental protection, ethical behaviour and fair dealing.

A site inspection may be held at the request of the contractor.

The service provider must provide warranty coverage for all services performed, including workmanship and replacement parts, for a minimum of twelve months from completion, or longer if offered by the manufacturer. They must rectify defects at no additional cost and pass on full benefits of manufacturer/supplier warranties.

Service providers must ensure all personnel performing services are suitably qualified, competent, and experienced, holding relevant and current trade qualifications, licenses, and competencies applicable to the services being performed, including where applicable: Certificate III qualifications, appropriate Queensland trade licenses, heavy vehicle repair and maintenance competencies, automotive air conditioning handling licenses, current driver's license, and any manufacturer-specific training.

If the service provider employee or subcontractor fails to maintain required data, complete overdue actions, and/or complete designated training and inductions, GRC reserves the right to refuse or remove the subject parties from GRC sites.
