Muswellbrook Shire Council is seeking tenders for the renewal of an existing passenger lift at Muswellbrook Marketplace. The lift is over 20 years old and requires significant investment. Contractors can submit proposals for either modernisation of the existing system or complete removal and replacement with a new machine-roomless lift. The evaluation will consider best overall value, including technical compliance, whole-of-life cost, and operational performance. Submissions close on 21 July 2026.
The tender closes on Tuesday, 21 July 2026, at 01:00 AM E. South America Standard Time.
Payment claims are to be made progressively, with the principal paying the scheduled amount within 15 business days of receiving a compliant payment claim. Final payment is due within 15 business days of the principal's receipt of the final payment claim.
The contract includes a defects liability period of 12 months commencing on the date of completion.
Council will evaluate both options to determine which solution provides the best overall value, considering technical compliance, whole-of-life cost, operational performance, reliability, maintainability, project delivery, and long-term asset outcomes.
Submissions are sought from suitably qualified contractors.
Liquidated damages of $150 per day are applicable if the works do not reach completion by the date for completion.
Supplier queries have a cutoff date of Thursday, 16 July 2026, at 01:00 AM E. South America Standard Time.
Failure to comply with various clauses, including those related to work health and safety, conflict of interest, and probity, may lead to termination of the contract.
