This is a public tender for civil works at Wiluna Airport, including repairs to the runway, taxiway, and apron. The scope of work involves patch repairs, seal rejuvenation, line marking reinstatement, and application of fuel-resistant surfacing. Drainage and water management measures are also required. Tenders must be submitted by 2:00 PM on 11 May 2026 via the VendorPanel etender portal or by sealed envelope. Clarification deadline is 2:00 PM on 4 May 2026. The contract is expected to commence as agreed with the principal and be completed by 14 June 2026 or as negotiated. Key personnel, including a full-time site supervisor and a civil engineer, are required. A safety management plan must be prepared and approved prior to mobilization. Insurance requirements include workers compensation and public liability. Payments will be made on a fixed price per road basis, with preliminary costs paid progressively. Mandatory supervised alcohol testing is required daily.
The contract completion date is to be 14 June 2026 or as otherwise negotiated with the successful contractor.
All invoices for payment shall be submitted to the principal's representative at the end of each month. The corresponding payment will be made within 20 business days of an accepted claim/invoice.
The defects liability period is 12 months.
The tendered prices will be assessed against qualitative and compliance criteria to determine the most advantageous outcome to the principal. The submission with the highest score will be considered first for award of a contract as this will normally indicate that this submission represents the best value for money.
Respondents must provide details of their capability and experience in completing similar requirements, including organisation structure, details of similar work undertaken (value, scope, client contact details), and quality assurance policy or systems.
The shire reserves the right to discharge any person or item of plant which, in their opinion, is not satisfying the requirements of the contract. The contractor will be advised and given 4 days to rectify the complaint. Failure to rectify will result in the non-performing person/plant item being discharged from the site at the contractor's cost. In the event that the contractor fails to perform under the contract, the shire reserves the right to terminate the contract forthwith.

Respondents seeking clarification of any details relating to this request for tender must seek clarification via the vendorpanel portal, before the clarification deadline date listed on the front cover of this RFT, which is 2:00 PM 4 May 2026.
A tender will be rejected without consideration if it is not submitted before the deadline, not submitted at the specified place, fails to comply with any other requirements of the request for tender, or if the respondent does not submit a properly completed and signed offer form with all required attachments. Any respondent involved in canvassing activity will result in their tender being rejected.
