Balranald Shire Council is seeking a provider for Managed IT Services. The scope includes desktop, Microsoft 365, Azure services, network, and telephony management. Key responsibilities include helpdesk support, infrastructure maintenance, cybersecurity implementation, and IT governance. The contract term is three years with options for extensions. Tenders must be submitted electronically by 26 June 2026. The provider must deliver services from Australia and comply with Essential Eight maturity level 1. A detailed transition plan is required. Evaluation is based on service delivery methodology, technical capability, relevant experience, cybersecurity approach, local/regional capability, and price/value for money.
Tenders must be received no later than 2:00 pm AEST on 26 June 2026.
Monthly invoices must itemise charges by service category. Prices shall remain fixed for the first twelve months, with annual variations based on the ABS Consumer Price Index thereafter, subject to council approval.
The evaluation is based on a weighted assessment of service delivery methodology (15%), technical capability (15%), relevant experience (20%), cybersecurity approach (5%), local and regional capability (5%), and price and value for money (40%).
Tenderers must demonstrate financial capacity, have current insurance certificates, and provide evidence of required licenses, certifications, and registrations, such as Microsoft Partner status, ITIL certification, and ISO **** or equivalent.
Service credit arrangements for SLA non-compliance will be addressed in the contract.

Engaging in collusive or anti-competitive tendering practices, offering inducements, failing to disclose conflicts of interest, or directly contacting council officers may result in disqualification.
