Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) is seeking industry-led solutions for the delayed discharge of older patients who no longer require active medical care but cannot access timely residential aged care. The solutions should focus on increasing access to appropriate residential aged care settings and may include infrastructure provision, service delivery, or integrated models. GCHHS estimates a need for over 200 beds by 2028. This is an Expression of Interest (EOI) process to gauge market capability and inform future procurement. The closing date for submissions is 29 June 2026. A market briefing will be held online on 1 June 2026.
The closing date for submissions is Monday, 29 June 2026, at 5:00 pm.
Submissions will be evaluated against criteria including capability and experience, capacity of the solution, timeframe for delivery, duration of solution, key commercial terms, accreditation/licensing, and risks and constraints. For proposals including service delivery, additional criteria include service delivery model, patient flow, changing clinical needs, and workforce.
Solutions are sought from suitably qualified organisations. Respondents must provide evidence of relevant experience and capability in delivering similar infrastructure and/or services, demonstrating safe, high-quality outcomes, and robust governance, systems, and operational frameworks.
The supplier warrants that neither it nor its personnel have engaged in any collusive, anti-competitive or similar conduct. The customer may disqualify a supplier if it believes a warranty has been breached.
