Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking qualified suppliers for preventative and responsive fire services maintenance across its campuses, divided into two packages. The contract duration is three years with a two-year extension option. A mandatory briefing session will be held on 12 May 2026, and attendance is a prerequisite for bid consideration. Offers will be evaluated based on service delivery approach, compliance, capability, capacity, social and sustainable procurement, and value for money. Suppliers must comply with Australian Standards, Victorian Government policies, and the Fair Jobs Code. Invoicing requirements and reporting obligations are detailed.
The closing time for offers is 2pm Melbourne time on Friday, 22 May 2026.
The supplier must submit all invoices within 30 days of completion of the services. Melbourne Polytechnic is not liable to pay any invoice submitted after this period unless, at its discretion, it elects to do so.
All parts and equipment must be provided with manufacturer warranties. The supplier is required to maintain a register of parts and equipment, installation date, location, and manufacturer warranty details.
Offers will be assessed based on a value for money proposition, considering specific evaluation criteria including service delivery approach, compliance, capability, capacity, risk management, social procurement, innovation, and value for money.
Invitees must hold a Fair Jobs Code certificate. They must also demonstrate compliance with organizational specific requirements and Victorian Government requirements, including having the necessary skill, qualification, and experience.
Failure to comply with requirements may lead to disqualification from the invitation process. Key performance indicators (KPIs) are used to measure performance, and failures against these KPIs may result in consequences as outlined in the framework.
Attendance at the briefing session, which includes a site visit, is mandatory. The briefing session will allow suppliers to view the sites.
The end of the period for questions or requests for information is 15 May 2026.
