Port Pirie Regional Council is seeking tenders for the replacement of the air conditioning system in the Development and Regulation (D&R) section of its main administration building. The scope includes removal of the existing system and supply and installation of a new one. Tenders close on 13 August 2026 at 2:00 PM. Site inspections are encouraged and must be arranged by 6 August 2026. Submissions must be lodged electronically. The evaluation will use a weighted point score system considering price and non-price criteria.
The preferred completion date for the works is 15 November 2026.
The council must pay the contractor within thirty 30 days of the end of the month in which the practical certificate is issued, the agreed sum as adjusted by this agreement.
The defects liability period is 52 calendar weeks commencing on practical completion of the works.
Tenders will be evaluated using a weighted point score system that allows price and non-price criteria to be taken into account. Specific criteria include use of recycled materials, customer service experience and capacity, tendered prices, risk associated with negotiation, environmental and quality management systems, local economic benefit, staff resources, timeframe for completion, demonstrated experience, and compliance with RFT requirements.
Tenderers must be suitably qualified and experienced. They must be licensed or registered to perform the services and maintain such licence and/or registration until the final certificate is issued.
If the works do not reach practical completion by the date for practical completion, and no extension of time has been granted, liquidated damages will be due and payable for every day after twentyone 21 days from the date for practical completion.
Tenderers are encouraged to undertake a site inspection. Site visits may be arranged by contacting Alan Bennett and must be arranged and undertaken prior to Thursday, 6 August 2026.
Tenders lodged by any means other than electronically via the specified link will not be considered. Failure to contact the nominated contact person prior to the closing date if experiencing submission problems will result in a non-conforming tender. Interfering or attempting to discuss tenders with council employees other than the nominated contact person may lead to rejection.
