Central Highlands Regional Council is seeking tenders for full-service gravel resheeting of Arcadia Valley Road. The scope includes degrassing, scarifying, importing and compacting gravel, and incorporating water. Gravel will be supplied by the council from the Deep Creek Gravel Pit. The contractor is responsible for loading and transporting the gravel. Minimum equipment requirements include a grader, multi-tyre roller, smooth drum roller, and two water trucks. Traffic management plans must be submitted and approved prior to commencement. Personnel must hold relevant qualifications, including a Level 2 traffic management certificate. Accommodation and travel costs are to be included in the submitted rates. The contract will be awarded based on a combination of price, relevant experience, local business development, availability, and insurances. The closing date for submissions is 10 April 2026.
The works are required to be delivered before 15 June 2026.
The payment terms are within 30 days of the last day of the month in which the invoice is received.
The contractor warrants that any goods supplied will be new, of merchantable quality, free from defects, and comply with national construction code performance requirements.
Submissions shall be evaluated based on price (75%), relevant experience and historic performance (15%), development of competitive local business (10%), and availability and current commitments (pass/fail), insurances (pass/fail), and conflict of interest (pass/fail).
The tenderer is required to provide details of previous similar projects, key personnel experience, and relevant experience on recent projects. Personnel must have appropriate tickets, including a construction industry induction blue/white card.
Liquidated damages may apply if the contractor fails to achieve completion by the completion date or key supply date, at the rate stated in Schedule 1 or the request for services.
