Excavation Tenders

A tender briefing will be held on Thursday, 21 May 2026, at 11:30 AM at Vincent Street, Dunsborough. Attendance is highly recommended. Attendance at this meeting is not mandatory but it is highly recommended that tenderers attend this briefing.

Construction works must commence within 4 weeks of the letter of award unless an alternative date is agreed to by council in writing, subject to council approval of start up documentation. The contractor must adhere to the approved program, including all milestones, shutdowns, and sequencing.

Quotations will be assessed based on total price, comparison with benchmarks or budget, value for money, whole of life cost, capability and experience, technical skills and ability, appropriate resources, and delivery timeline.

Tenderers must demonstrate they possess the personnel, equipment, qualifications, and accreditations necessary to safely and competently deliver the project. This includes a Project Manager with HDD experience, Site Supervisor/Foreman, HDD operator and crew, excavator operator, licensed plumber, and pipe layer. Organizational certifications like ISO ****, ISO ****, and ISO **** are highly regarded.

A compulsory site meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 3rd at 2:00 PM at the corner of Invercauld Road & Cynthia Wilson Drive, Goonellabah NSW **** you are unable to attend, please contact the authorised person to arrange an alternate site visit.

The tender closes on Tuesday, 23 June 2026 at 04:00 am E. South America Standard Time.

The principal will accept the response that is most advantageous, considering sound contracting principles and local government regulations. Local preference may be applied.

Respondents must warrant that they hold all necessary competencies, licenses (including QBCC if applicable), accreditations, certifications, permits, and authorisations required for the scope of works. They must also warrant that they are not excluded from tendering under any applicable government scheme.

Tenderers must be suitably qualified contractors with demonstrated experience in culvert removal and installation, and must provide details of their organisational profile, financial position, insurance, and quality assurance systems.

A formal site inspection will not be conducted, but tenderers are strongly advised to visit and inspect the sites before submitting a tender.
