Tenders are evaluated based on the proposed initial work program (40%), financial capability (15%), technical capability (15%), approach to community and landholder consultation and engagement (10%), compliance with resources legislation (10%), and compliance with health and safety legislation (10%).
Eligible persons, defined as an adult, a company, a local government, or an educational institution treated as eligible by the Minister, may submit a tender. Tenderers must also inform the department of any matters that may result in disqualification.
Failure to comply with confidentiality requirements may result in the Minister exercising their discretion to refuse to receive, process, or consider the tender. A preferred tenderer's appointment may be revoked if they fail to comply with certain requirements.
