Byron Shire Council is seeking an event manager for the Soul Street New Year's Eve 2026 event. The event is a free, family-friendly gathering in Byron Bay, attracting up to 15,000 people. Payments will be made in four installments to the contractor upon receipt of agreed deliverables on the agreed timeline.
Quotes will be evaluated by a combination of price (weighted at 20%) and non-price criteria (weighted at 80%), including profile and relevant experience, quality and availability of resources, delivery plan, social procurement, sustainable practices, and local industry engagement.
Respondents must have a valid Australian Business Number (ABN), substantially conform with the conditions of contract and the brief, hold or be able to obtain necessary insurances, and demonstrate satisfactory work health and safety and environmental management practices.
A mandatory site walkthrough will be conducted on May 11th at 10:30 am. Attendance is mandatory, and non-attendance may result in the quote being considered non-conforming.
