Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking a preferred supplier for the timely, reliable, and cost-effective supply and delivery of office paper products, general office stationery, selected office catering products, and selected office hygiene products. The supply will cover various administrative and operational locations within the Bundaberg Regional Council local government area. The council is looking for a supplier with a broad range of products, reliable delivery, competitive pricing, an efficient online ordering system, accurate invoicing, responsive account management, and the ability to offer environmentally preferable options. The proposed arrangement is for an initial term of three years, with two further one-year extension options, making the maximum potential contract term five years.
The tender closes on Tuesday, 16 June 2026, at 01:00 am E. South America Standard Time.
The contract states that council will pay the supplier the price shown on a tax invoice submitted by the supplier, on or before the payment date, which is 25 business days from the date a tax invoice is received by council.
The supplier warrants that it has the necessary skills, expertise and qualifications to properly perform the contract, and all its personnel performing duties in relation to the contract are competent and have the necessary skills, expertise and qualifications to properly perform the duties allocated to them.
The council is seeking a supplier that is suitably experienced, capable and commercially competitive.
If the supplier fails to supply the goods to the delivery point by the delivery date, the supplier must pay liquidated damages to council, calculated by applying the rate set out in an order for every day from the delivery date up to and including the earlier of the date that the goods are delivered, the date of termination of the contract, or the date of cancellation of an order.
The contract states that the supplier must, on reasonable prior written notice from council, allow council to inspect the goods, give council reasonable access to the suppliers premises, or its personnel's premises, where the goods are being manufactured or stored to inspect the goods or other material related to the goods, and give council reasonable access to the suppliers documentation and records.
The supplier query cutoff is Wednesday, 10 June 2026, at 01:00 am E. South America Standard Time.
If an insolvency event occurs in respect of the supplier, the supplier is deemed to have breached an essential term of the contract and council may terminate the contract.
