Pavement Rehabilitation Tenders

Submissions must be fully received by the closing time as late submissions will not be accepted. Any response made by any other means open email, facsimile, post or in person will not be considered.

Tenderers must be suitably qualified and experienced contractors. The text states: council invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the reconstruction of the existing road pavement.

The principal has adopted a best value for money approach. Price is considered, but the lowest price will not necessarily be accepted. As stated: the offer containing the lowest price will not necessarily be accepted.

Offers are assessed against selection criteria and scored. Compliance criteria are assessed on a yes/no basis, and a no may eliminate the offer. As stated: an assessment of no against any criterion may eliminate the offer from consideration.

Attendance at the site inspection is mandatory. The inspection is on Friday, 23 October 2026 at 9:00am AWST at the corner of Lockyer Avenue and Young Street. As stated: attendance at this meeting is mandatory.

Offers may be rejected if not submitted before the deadline, not submitted at the specified place, or failing to comply with requirements. Failure to attend the mandatory site inspection renders the tenderer ineligible. As stated: failure to attend a briefingsite inspection will render the tenderer ineligible to tender.

Practical completion is scheduled for 2 July 2026, as stated: practical completion 2 july 2026.

Payment claims are monthly, and the principal must pay within 15 business days after receipt of a claim, as per: within 15 business days after receipt by the superintendent of a claim for payment.

Evaluation is based on financial score (50%) and non-financial criteria (50%), as stated: financial score 50 and nonfinancial evaluation criteria and relative overall weightings 50.

Tenderers must demonstrate experience in similar projects within the last 5 years, as stated: suitably experienced tenderers that can demonstrate by recent projects within the last 5 years.

Liquidated damages are $1,**** per day, as stated: liquidated damages per day: 1**** per day.

There is no mandatory briefing, but tenderers may inspect the site without permission, as stated: there will be no mandatory briefing meeting and tenderers are able to do so without express permission.

Disputes must be notified within 28 days after service of a direction, as stated: a notice of dispute. . . within 28 days after the date of service on that party of the direction.

Non-conforming offers, including failure to submit returnable schedules, may be rejected, as stated: tenderers who fail to submit any of the returnable schedules. . . shall be considered to have made a nonconforming submission.
