Gwydir Shire Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the management and operation of the Bingara War Memorial Baths and/or Warialda War Memorial Olympic Pool for the 2026/2027 swimming season. The contract term is from 1 September 2026 to 30 April 2027. The pools are to be open to the public from 3 October 2026 to 26 April 2027, with daily operating hours from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, extended to 7:00 pm during peak summer months. Early access for lap swimmers is available from 5:00 am to 9:00 am via electronic fob. The successful contractor will be responsible for day-to-day management, supervision, staff provision, kiosk operation, customer service, cleaning, fee collection, reporting, and maintaining pool water quality. All staff must hold relevant qualifications including lifeguard licenses, CPR, First Aid, and Working With Children checks. The contractor retains kiosk income. Council is responsible for pool water treatment chemicals, utilities, major maintenance, and insurance. Monthly operational reports are required. The contractor must maintain public liability insurance of $20 million and workers compensation insurance.
