The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) is seeking consultancy services for the Independent Assurance of Settlements (IAS) program. The contract term is 3 years with a 12-month extension option. Respondents must have at least 20 years of experience in taxation and superannuation technical matters. Responses can be lodged via email or Austender by December 2, 2025. The customer will pay the amount of a correctly rendered invoice to the supplier within five 5 calendar days after receiving it, or if this day is not a business day, on the next business day, if using einvoicing. In all other circumstances following receipt of a correctly rendered invoice, including acceptance of the goods andor services by the customer, the customer will pay the amount of a correctly rendered invoice to the supplier within twenty 20 calendar days after receiving it, or if this day is not a business day, on thenext business day.

Responses will be evaluated according to the following criteria: technical evaluation criteria weighting demonstrated expertise in one or more of the specified tax technical areas. depth and breadth of minimum of 20years experience in taxation and 50 tax technical expertise superannuation technical matters. evidence of highlevel technical advice or opinion in complex or highvalue matters. recognition as a prominent and wellrespected member of the tax advisory, legal, or accounting professional standing community. 40 and credibility evidence of a preeminent reputation. ability to convey credibility and assurance to the ato and the broader community. low exposure to conflicts of interest and a demonstrated ability to manage any that arise. integrity, independence, and conflict commitment to impartiality and probity in reviewing 10 management significant settlements. understanding of ethical obligations and ability to escalate serious concerns appropriately.
Respondents must have at least 20 years of experience in taxation and superannuation technical matters, including a substantial and evidenced expertise in one or more specialist tax areas and a preeminent reputation within the tax advisory, legal or accounting community. Respondents must agree to obtain an australian business number and contract as an individual should they be successful under this process.
Unless otherwise notified by an addendum, there are no site inspections for this atm.
