Central Highlands Regional Council is seeking tenders for full-service gravel resheeting of Arcadia Valley Road. The scope includes degrassing, scarifying, importing gravel, water incorporation, compaction, and restoration of adjacent surfaces. Gravel will be supplied by the council from the Deep Creek Gravel Pit. The contractor is responsible for loading and transporting the gravel. Minimum equipment requirements include a grader, multi-tyre roller, smooth drum roller, and two water trucks. Traffic management plans must be submitted and approved prior to commencement, with at least one person holding a current traffic management qualification. Accommodation and travel costs are to be included in the submitted rates. The contract will be awarded based on a schedule of rates. The closing date for submissions is 10 April 2026.
The works are required to be delivered before 15 June 2026.
Payment terms are within 30 days of the last day of the month in which the invoice is received.
The contractor warrants that any goods supplied will be new, of merchantable quality, free from defects, and comply with the national construction code performance requirements.
Submissions shall be evaluated based on price (75%), relevant experience and historic performance (15%), development of competitive local business (10%), and pass/fail criteria for availability, current commitments, insurances, conflict of interest.
Tenderers are required to provide details of previous similar projects, key personnel experience, and relevant experience on recent projects. They must also complete a conflict of interest declaration and provide insurance details.
Liquidated damages may apply per day for failure to complete by the completion date or key supply dates, at the rate stated in Schedule 1 or the request for services if applicable.
