The Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) is seeking an experienced sports and exercise physiotherapist to provide physiotherapy support to athletes in the swimming program. The role is based in Brisbane, with services delivered primarily from Sleeman Sport Complex, QSAC and affiliated training facilities. The contract is for an initial term from 2 March 2026 to 28 February 2027, with an option to extend for a further 2 years. Offers must be lodged by 5pm Australian Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday 16 Dec 2025. The supplier must provide relevant and current insurance certificates with their offer.
The bid notice states services are generally required over 48 weeks per 12month period.
The supplier warrants that all representations, declarations, statements, information and documents made or provided by the supplier including its representatives in connection with the invitation process supplier information are complete, accurate, uptodate and not misleading in any way.
The criteria against which the suppliers offer will be evaluated includes: mandatory criteria and desirable criteria.
The supplier practitioner must meet all of the following to be considered eligible: physiotherapy specific mandatory requirements minimum qualifications respondents must have all of the following: current full registration with australian health practitioner regulation agency ahpra as a physiotherapist bachelor of physiotherapy or equivalent and be an apa titled sports and exercise physiotherapist through completion of a post graduate masters degree in sports physiotherapy or equivalent or the experiential titling pathway other mandatory requirements.
All clarifications or questions related to the invitation to offer must be communicated in writing directly to the customer contact person identified in 1. 15 and in accordance with the timeframes identified in 1. 4.
The contract price will be calculated based on a daily rate for the number of days that the services are provided. The daily rate will be negotiated with the successful supplier, depending on their level of experience and qualifications, and will be between the range of 580 to 640 per day ex. gst, based on an 8hour workday.
