The project involves transforming the caretakers cottage into a museum. The consultant will be responsible for strategic and interpretive planning, exhibition and virtual design, stakeholder engagement, and full project delivery within an approved budget of $700,000. The closing date for the RFT is March 6, 2026. A mandatory site visit is required. The project must reflect Inner West Council's core values.
The consultant must adhere to the following milestones: engagement commencement: 23 march 2026, digital deliverables: end of may 2026, exhibition installation: end of june 2026, phased digital content completion: end of july 2026, museum completion: end of july 2026.
Eois will be assessed against: demonstrated experience in museum planning and design, understanding of heritage and community-led projects, innovation and inclusivity in interpretive planning, alignment with inner west council values, value for money and project feasibility.
Applicants must submit the following: cover letter and organisation profile, proposal addressing all evaluation criteria, examples of past experience, projects or case studies, letters of support or partnership confirmations, summary of measurable outcomes.
It is mandatory to visit the site and inspect the caretakers cottage.
