The Central Goldfields Shire Council is seeking submissions for kerb and channel construction and various concrete works. The contract includes general conditions, special conditions, and schedules. The commencement date, practical completion date, and contract sum will be inserted after the selection of the successful tenderer. The council will pay the amount of each invoice within 30 days of its receipt. The contractor must lodge with the council the securities specified in item 16 of the schedule 1 to secure performance of the contract. Liquidated damages of $500 per day will be applied if the works are not completed by the date for practical completion.
The contract shall commence on the commencement date and continue in force until the date for practical completion, unless terminated earlier in accordance with this contract.
The council will pay the amount of each invoice within 30 days of its receipt except where council notifies the contractor of a dispute in accordance with clause 34 of this agreement.
The contractor warrants that where within 12 months of the completion of the works, any defect arises other than from reasonable fair wear and tear in relation to the works performed by the contractor, the contractor shall promptly upon receipt of written notice thereof from the council, at its own cost rectify the defect or reexecute or make good anything not properly performed.
The buyer is seeking submissions from suitably qualified contractors for the provision of kerb and channel construction and various concrete works.
If the works are not completed by the date for practical completion, the superintendent shall certify as due and payable to the council, liquidated damages in the amount referenced in item 17 of the schedule 1, for every day after the end date of the contract, until the works are completed to councils satisfaction.
