Bins Tenders

All bins must be delivered to the South Hedland Waste Management Facility by no later than Friday, 29 January 2027. The completion date is specified as 29 january 2027.

Payment is made via progress claims: completion and approval of detailed fabrication drawings 100 of the amount nominated, manufacturing of bins 50 of the amount nominated, and delivery acceptance of all goods the remaining balance of the contract sum.

The defects liability period is 12 months beginning on the completion date. During this period, the principal may notify the contractor in writing that any goods or services provided are defective.

The council will award the tender by applying the best value principals, with criteria including financial benefit (40%), capability capacity (40%), collaborative approach (10%), and economic and social sustainability (10%).

Tenderers must complete mandatory schedules including Modern Slavery Act, Fair Work Act compliance, insurance certificates, OHS system, quality management, environmental management, permits and EPA guidelines, and financial viability.

Tenderers may be disqualified for unauthorised communications, improper assistance, collusion, anticompetitive conduct, conflicts of interest, or late submission. Council will not accept late tenders due to technical issues.

Suppliers must be suitably qualified and provide insurances including public liability of $20M, products liability of $20M, workers compensation of $50M, and vehicle and equipment insurance of $30M. As stated: public liability insurance: where applicable the contractor shall maintain insurance to a value of 20m.

Failure to comply with contract terms, including delivery by the completion date, may result in termination. As stated: if a party breaches a provision of the contract and that breach continues for a period of 5 business days, the other party may provide a written notice.
