This RFQ seeks quotations for
traffic management services for Australia Day 2026 in Sydney, NSW, with a one-year option for 2027. Respondents must submit their quotations electronically by 15:00 AEST on Thursday, September 4, 2025. The quotation must include a detailed itemized quotation and rate card for both 2026 and the 2027 option year, a written response addressing the services to be supplied, company credentials, and experience portfolio including details for two referees. The response will be evaluated against criteria including price, experience, stakeholder management, human and infrastructure resources, risk and WHS documentation, and response quality. Destination NSW reserves the right to contract with one or more respondents, in whole or in part. The NSW government coordination centre will operate from 10:00 am until 23:30 on January 26. Prior to this, Transport for NSW will oversee
traffic operations via their joint operations centre from 3:30 am to 10:00 am on January 26. The contractor will provide a highly experienced and appropriately qualified senior
traffic manager from 3:30 am to 23:30 on January 26. The contractor's representative will be responsible for liaison with the NSW police force tactical
traffic commander, Transport for NSW personnel, Destination NSW event control staff and contractor field personnel in effectively managing the road opening and closure sequences. Destination NSW may request the
traffic contractor to provide implementation of hostile vehicle mitigation infrastructure. Respondents must demonstrate appropriate insurances (public and product liability insurance of no less than 20 million per event and professional indemnity insurance of no less than 10 million) and compliance with all applicable laws, statutes and regulations in force relating to modern slavery.
