Tender for LED lighting upgrade at Gisborne South Tennis Courts. The contractor must provide all labour, materials, and services for the complete installation of a new LED sports lighting system. Key activities include site establishment, demolition of existing infrastructure, electrical works, installation of new poles and floodlights, lighting controls, and site reinstatement. A mandatory pre-tender site inspection is scheduled for July 29, 2026. Tenders close on August 18, 2026. The contract will be awarded based on best value for money.
Practical completion of all works is expected by March 2026.
Council shall pay for successfully completed contract works within 30 days from receipt of an invoice, submitted at the end of each calendar month.
A 12-month defects and commissioning period applies from practical completion. The contractor shall provide a suitable warranty on all parts, materials, and workmanship.
The contract will be awarded on the basis of the best value for money, the most benefit to the community, and the greatest advantage to council, with evaluation criteria including price, relevant experience, methodology, compliance with specification, environmental benefit, social benefit, workplace health and safety, risk and insurance, and conflicts of interest.
Tenderers must be suitably qualified and experienced contractors. They must provide details of their business, experience, qualifications, and demonstrate financial viability.
If the contractor fails to reach practical completion by the date for practical completion, liquidated damages will apply at the rate stated in the annexure for every day after the date.
An onsite pre-tender site inspection is mandatory, scheduled for Wednesday, 29th July 2026, at 10:00 am at South Gisborne Tennis Courts. Registration to attend is required via Vendorpanel.
Any tenderer who directly or indirectly seeks to obtain an advantage by canvassing support from a councillor or member of council's staff, or a member of the evaluation panel, will be disqualified.
