Noosa Shire Council is inviting tenders for reconstruction works of landslides and drainage structures in the Black Mountain region, triggered by heavy rainfall. A site inspection is scheduled. This is a lump sum contract. The anticipated contract award is July 15, 2026, with practical completion by December 11, 2026.
Practical completion is scheduled for on or before 11 December 2026.
Payments will be made by electronic transfer into the bank account last notified in writing by the contractor to the principal. The payment period is 15 or 25 business days after the progress claim or final payment claim is given to the superintendent.
The contractor must obtain the best available and legally enforceable warranties from manufacturers, extended to at least the end of the defects liability period, and submit them as a requirement of practical completion.
Tenderers must be suitably qualified.
Liquidated damages are set at $1,500 per day, with a maximum of the contract sum as adjusted pursuant to the contract. If the principal's entitlement to liquidated damages is found to be void, the contractor shall be liable for any loss suffered by the principal as a result of failing to achieve practical completion by the date for practical completion.
A site inspection is scheduled.

The contractor must not engage in improper conduct, including misleading or deceptive conduct, collusive tendering, or any unlawful or unethical conduct. Failure to comply with obligations under the contract, including providing false or misleading statutory declarations, can lead to termination.
