The contractor shall obtain and ensure that the principal will have the benefit of all warranties specified in the contract including the following items of work, materials or equipment: 1. fence panels infill materials o durability and corrosion resistance warranty 2. fence posts and rails o warranty for structural integrity and corrosion resistance 3. foundations and footings o contractor workmanship warranty for footings, embedment depth and concrete strength. 4. gates and gate hardware o manufacturers warranty on hinges, latches, locks. o contractor workmanship warranty on installation and alignment. 5. coatings finishes o powdercoat warranty e. g. , against chipping, peeling, uv fading. 6. fasteners and fixings o warranty against corrosion e. g. , stainless or galvanised screwsbolts. 7. overall workmanship warranty o typical defects liability period e. g. , 12 months covering alignment, installation defects, and general construction quality.
The contract may be awarded to a sole respondent who best demonstrates the ability to provide quality products andor services at a competitive price. Price will be assessed together with qualitative and compliance criteria to determine the most advantageous outcome to the principal.
