This Request for Quote (RFQ) is for the supply and delivery of fresh produce, including fruits, vegetables, precut products, and premade salads, to Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) facilities. The produce will be used for preparing patient meals. The contract duration is expected to be 3 years. Suppliers must demonstrate a track record of delivering similar services, capability to deliver to multiple GCHHS sites, and provide competitive pricing. Quotes must be submitted by 5:00 PM on Monday, 8 June 2026. The RFQ includes detailed requirements for product quality, service delivery, and supplier capabilities. Insurance requirements include Workers Compensation, Public Liability, Products Liability, and Professional Indemnity. Evaluation criteria will focus on track record, capability, service delivery, proposed solution, and pricing.
The RFQ closing date is Monday, 8 June 2026, at 5:00 PM. The delivery period for the contract will be for a period of 3 years from the commencement date of the contract.
The customer will pay each correctly rendered tax invoice within 30 days of goods receipt or service delivery, except where a government policy applies which prescribes a different payment period. For eligible small business suppliers, payment is required within 20 days or as amended by policy.
The supplier warrants that it has the necessary skills and expertise to properly perform the contract, and all its personnel performing duties in relation to this contract are competent and have the necessary skills and expertise to properly perform the duties allocated to them concerning this contract. The supplier also warrants that the goods satisfy the description in the contract, comply with the requirements, are new, unused, and of recent origin, are of a high quality, and fit for their usual purpose and any other purpose disclosed by the customer.
Quotes will be evaluated against the following criteria: Track Record (20%), Capability of the Respondent to Deliver (15%), Service Delivery (25%), Proposed Solution (20%), Queensland Procurement Policy Requirement 1 (5%), Queensland Procurement Policy Requirement 2 (5%), and Pricing (10%).
The supplier must demonstrate relevant experience delivering similar services, preferably in a healthcare or patient care environment. They must show an understanding of food, dietary, health and safety requirements relevant to patient care. The supplier must provide examples of current or previous contracts, including client references, scope of services, delivery approach, and evidence of service quality and timeliness. They must also have adequate systems, staff, and financial capacity to reliably deliver services.
If the supplier cannot meet the timeframes specified in the basic order, then the customer may terminate the contract at no cost to the customer. If the supplier fails to comply with its obligations regarding unmet requirements, the customer may have the deliverables resupplied or reperformed by others, and the supplier must pay the customer on demand any costs incurred by the customer in doing so.
If at any time during the invitation process, a supplier considers that it has been unreasonably or unfairly treated and the supplier has not been able to resolve the issue with the customers contact officer, the supplier may request that the matter be reviewed in accordance with the customers complaint management process by contacting: ***@***. *. * with the subject attn: nicole franzel gchhs130394.
The customer may disqualify a supplier if it believes the supplier has breached any warranty, engaged in collusive or anticompetitive conduct, or if the supplier is or becomes insolvent. Failure to comply with the Queensland Government Supplier Code of Conduct may also lead to termination.
