This project aims to comprehensively update the Austroads Guide to Road Safety Part 4: Safe People (AGRS04) to reflect contemporary evidence, emerging risks, and best practice approaches to influencing road user behaviour within a safe system framework. The updated guidance will support jurisdictions in implementing effective, consistent, and evidence-based interventions to reduce road trauma associated with human factors. The scope includes a targeted review of national and international research, policy, and best practice, with a focus on intervention effectiveness. Priority content areas include high-risk road user groups, education, licensing and training, impairment, distraction, fatigue, seatbelt and child restraint use, and skill, ability, and medical fitness to drive/ride. New or expanded guidance will be developed for topics such as behaviour change, risk perception, speed management, safety device use, workplace road safety, and automated vehicle technologies. Consultation with jurisdictions and experts will be conducted to validate findings. The updated guide will refer to and align with other Austroads publications, such as the forthcoming Graduated Licensing Systems Guide (****), and will not duplicate detailed technical or policy guidance. The deliverables include a research report, the updated guide, and a webinar to disseminate findings. The closing date for submissions is Monday, 4 May 2026, at 3 pm AEST.

This is an advance information notice for an upcoming procurement process for the Australian Defence Force Family Health Program (ADFFHP). A Request for Tender (RFT) is anticipated for release in Quarter 2 2026. The RFT will be for the provision of healthcare cost reimbursement for ADFFHP eligible participants. The new arrangement is intended to have an operational commencement date of 1 July 2027 and is for an initial period of five years, with an option to extend for a further periods of up to five years. Tenderers will need to consider the design, implementation, maintenance of a scalable solution and an ICT system that enables ADFFHP eligible participants to submit and track claims, manage profiles, and receive payments. The RFT selection process will be based on the provider's capacity and capability to deliver the required scope and achieve value for money. The scope includes design and implementation of a scalable solution and ICT system, registration of eligible participants, claims processing, customer support, and maintenance of digital platforms. Defence will be seeking to establish the contract by way of a prime contractor framework. The RFT is anticipated to use the ASDEFCON complex services suite of tendering and contracting documentation.
