Council seeks contractors to process and transport log stacks damaged in the January 2026 Harcourt bushfires. The project must be completed by November 6, 2026. Site inspection is optional on August 31, 2026. Tenders close on September 8, 2026. Detailed invoices with embedded photographs (including GPS stamp) are required for federal funding claims. Evaluation is based on a weighted score combining qualitative assessment and cost (Best Value for Money).
All invoices and claim documentation to be submitted to council documentation by 6 november 2026.
The principal will pay the contractor or the contractor will pay the principal as the case may be the amount set out in the payment schedule or if the principal does not issue a payment schedule within time, the amount set out in the payment claim, within the time stated in the covering page.
The aim is to have a lower price and a higher stage one score, meaning the lowest result is the best value for money.
Tenders will be evaluated on criteria including risk management, OH&S system, public liability insurance, and workcover insurance.
If the contractor fails to reach practical completion by the date for practical completion, the contractor will be immediately indebted to the principal for liquidated damages at the rate stated in the covering page for every day after the date for practical completion to and including the date of practical completion or the date that the contract is terminated, whichever first occurs.
