The Australian government is seeking proposals from Australia's private capital market to inform its potential investment into an advanced capabilities investment (ACI) fund. The closing date for submissions is April 30, 2026. An optional online industry briefing will be held on March 12, 2026. The government may consider a coinvestment of up to 500 million into one or more ACI funds. The purpose of an ACI funds will be to invest in Australian small to medium sized businesses alongside private capital to support the development of kinetic and kinetic-enhancing advanced defence capabilities, including dualuse capabilities, with a view to growing and scaling such businesses, including for potential export opportunities.
