Central Queensland University (CQU) is seeking tenders for the design and construction of an extension to an existing undercover workshop canopy at the Mackay Ooralea Campus. The works include design, supply, construction, and certification of the canopy extension in accordance with the National Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for March 31, 2026. Tender responses are due by April 20, 2026. The contract award is expected on May 18, 2026, with work commencement on June 1, 2026, and practical completion by September 30, 2026. A 12-month maintenance and warranty period is required. Suppliers must submit their responses in PDF format and are encouraged to conduct a site inspection prior to submission.
The practical completion deadline for the works is September 30, 2026.
CQU's standard payment terms are net30 invoices for the total amount, invoiced upon acceptance of the goods and/or services by CQU.
The contractor is required to provide a twelve (12) month maintenance and warranty of the equipment at no further cost commencing from practical completion.
The award criterion includes proposed terms (5%), relevant experience (25%), methodology and construction approach (20%), program and ability to deliver within required timeframe (10%), and price (40%).
To be a conforming offer, the offer must be received by the closing date and time, be received in the specified format and method, be open for the minimum offer validity period, satisfy all mandatory requirements, respond to all sections of schedules 5, 6 and 7, and review any associated documents referred to in the contract details.
A mandatory site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 3:00 pm. Bookings for the mandatory site visit close on March 30, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
