Narrowband satellite communications capability Space segment: Australian Defence Force ( ADF) owned geostationary spacecraft with a UHF satellite communications payload, nominal design life of 10 years, interoperable with existing ADF in- service UHF radios and providing crossbanding to contractor- provided wideband communications infrastructure for narrowband communications and strategic reachback services. Support services: Contractor- delivered services to operate and sustain the capability, including spacecraft operations telemetry, tracking and commanding ( TTC) via contractor- provided ground infrastructure interfaced with defence networks for strategic reachback services, payload control, payload monitoring, and spectrum monitoring capability to ADF satcom operations and ongoing sustainment under an availability- based service framework.
