Central Queensland University (CQU) is seeking tenders for the design and construction of an extension to an existing undercover workshop canopy at the Mackay Ooralea Campus. The works include design, supply, construction, and certification of the canopy extension in accordance with the National Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for March 27, 2026, with bookings closing on March 26, 2026. Tender submissions are due by April 13, 2026. CQU's standard payment terms are net30. Suppliers must accept CQU's agreement terms or propose amendments with justification. All costs incurred by the supplier in preparing the response are to be borne by the supplier.
The anticipated timeframe for practical completion of the works is 30 September 2026.
CQU's standard payment terms are net30 invoices for the total amount, invoiced upon acceptance of the goods and/or services by CQU.
The bid requires a twelve (12) months maintenance and warranty of the equipment at no further cost commencing from practical completion.
The award criteria include proposed terms, relevant experience, methodology and construction approach, program and ability to deliver within the required timeframe, and price.
To be a conforming offer, the offer must be received by the closing date and time, in the specified format and method, be open for the minimum offer validity period, satisfy all mandatory requirements, and respond to all sections of schedules 5, 6, and 7.
A mandatory site visit is scheduled for Friday, 27 March 2026, at the Mackay Ooralea Campus. Bookings for the mandatory site visit close on 26 March 2026, at 2:00 pm.
