The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is seeking submissions for the provision of **** chairs. Suppliers must comply with all requirements set out in the Commonwealth Approach to Market terms, including having offices located within Australia, demonstrating ability to meet requirements (e. g. , relevant licenses, certifications, standards compliance), and ability to deliver goods/services within Australia. The contract will be for one year, with a possible 12-month extension. Professional indemnity insurance, public liability insurance, workers compensation insurance, and product liability insurance are required. Delivery must be made to the Parliament House loading dock. DPS will sign a delivery acceptance note, inspect the chairs, and confirm formal acceptance. Dead on arrival (DOA) goods must be replaced within 5 business days. Inoperable or defective goods within 30 days of acceptance must be replaced within 5 business days. Suppliers must attend meetings as requested. The customer will not provide any material.
The closing date for the approach to market is Tuesday, 7 October 2025, at 2:00 pm ACT local time.
If e-invoicing is used through the Peppol framework, the customer will pay within 5 calendar days after receiving a correctly rendered invoice. Otherwise, payment will be within 20 calendar days. Late payments will incur interest.
The contract term does not include the warranty period expected from the supplier.
The customer will evaluate all valid responses received by the closing time to determine which potential supplier has proposed the best value for money outcome for the customer.
The customer will exclude from participation any potential supplier that does not demonstrate compliance with having offices located within Australia, must demonstrate ability to meet the requirements (e. g. , relevant licenses, certifications, standards compliance), and ability to deliver goods/services within Australia.
There are no site inspections for this approach to market.
Availability of material samples and sample chairs upon request for quality and functional evaluation prior to final approval.
