Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking proposals for the provision of security and emergency management services for its campuses in Brisbane. The contract is for an initial term of six years with an option for a further three years. Services include static guards, mobile patrols, security operations centre (SOC), parking and traffic management, concierge, and event-based security. Mandatory requirements include specific insurance levels (Public Liability $20M, Professional Indemnity $20M, Motor Vehicle $10M), a Queensland Labour Hire Licence, a Security Firm Licence, a Modern Slavery Response, demonstrated resourcing capability (minimum 60 officers, 247 operation for 3 years in Queensland within the last five years, two referees for equivalent scale clients, no outsourcing of guarding services), and technical capability compliance (rostering/scheduling systems, workforce management systems, industrial relations agreements). The contract commencement date is 1 January 2027.
Offers will be evaluated based on mandatory criteria and scored evaluation criteria including ability to meet scope of work, experience, track record, capability fit, technical capability, innovation, resourcing capability, purposeful public procurement, transition implementation, and pricing.
