Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) is issuing an Expression of Interest (EOI) for industry-proposed solutions to address the delayed discharge of older patients who no longer require acute medical care but are awaiting timely residential aged care placement. The EOI seeks market input on medium to long-term solutions, including infrastructure provision, service delivery, or integrated models, to increase access to appropriate residential aged care settings. GCHHS estimates a need for solutions with a capacity of over 200 beds by 2028. This is a non-binding market sounding process to inform future procurement activities. Submissions are to be lodged electronically via the VendorPanel website by 29 June 2026. An online market briefing will be held on 1 June 2026. Suppliers must register for the briefing by 28 May 2026 and can submit questions by the same date.
The closing date for submissions is Monday, 29 June 2026, at 5:00 PM.
The supplier warrants that neither it nor its personnel have engaged in any collusive, anti-competitive or similar conduct in connection with the EOI process.
Submissions will be evaluated against criteria including capability and experience, capacity of the solution, timeframe for delivery, duration of solution, key commercial terms, accreditation/licensing, and risks and constraints.
Suppliers must be suitably qualified organisations capable of delivering solutions for older persons awaiting discharge and must adhere to the Queensland Government Supplier Code of Conduct.
The customer may request suppliers to conduct site visits as part of the evaluation process.
If a supplier considers it has been unreasonably or unfairly treated and has not resolved the issue with the contact officer, they may request it be dealt with according to the customer's complaint management process.
The customer may disqualify a supplier if it believes the supplier has breached any warranty provided in the EOI conditions.
